We – Boukeline Arnold and Rob Koops – are a Dutch couple that love to hike in different parts of the world. The Netherlands being a densely populated and flat country (our highest hill is about 300m (984 ft), we have been ‘forced’ to travel abroad to satisfy our ‘Wanderlust’.
Over the years we have done lots of multiple day hikes in New Zealand, we have walked the length of two countries: from Land’s End to John O’Groats in the UK, and from Mizen Head to Malin Head in Ireland, and we have been on two Pilgrim Walks: the Portuguese Camino de Santiago, and the Olav’s Way in Norway.
Still, we haven’t had enough (yet). Since we love Canada, but only know this country from driving from West to East, we decided the Newfoundland T’Railway would be a good project for us to tackle. So that’s why June 2018 found us in St. John’s, Newfoundland, with our backpacks, trekking poles and other hiking gear.
